What are the best steps to take when you’re in pain?

When we are dealing with pain, it can be difficult to remain calm and know what we need to do in the moment.

Let me share with you some effective steps you can take when you’re experiencing pain.

1. Don't Panic

Your thoughts and emotions influence your pain experience.

2. Eat

When the brain is lacking the sufficient amount of fuel, this can be enough to create pain in the body. One of the brain's preferred fuel source is glucose. Staying away or limiting sugar can create major issues to the body and create pain.

3. Breathe

Oxygen is another preferred source of fuel for the brain. Sit down and take a deep breathe. This will give the brain the fuel to think and stop panicking. Watch the video for the specific breathing drills that work great!

Did you know you could use your eyes to stop pain? When our eyes focus and move in certain directions, it stimulates the parts of our brain that create pain and are in charge of the intensity of the pain level. In the video I share some eye exercises that you can do.
